"At an exhibition of my work there's 30 to 40 pieces all together on large white walls. It's much different when you take one (a painting) home. The flower has more space to effect the feel of the room
...it doesn't just come from looking at the artwork straight on, it comes from seeing it out of the corner of your eye while you’re having a conversation with friends, or from across the room as you enter with guests, or when you turn on the lights after being away on vacation
...the way they effect the feel of a room, it's one of the things I like most about them."

Artist Statement
I create work that is stripped down to what is essential. The flowers exist unencumbered, floating between the edges of the frame, some creamy and soft, others textured and defined, each holding their place against the deep black of the background. I’m interested in evoking emotion and influencing the undercurrent that exists around the artwork. My art is a visual reflection of this and an illustration of my desire for simplicity, and purity of form.
